Garbage Theology

The Unseen World of Waste, and What It Means for the Salvation of Every Person, Every Place, and Every Thing

More than ever, societies are being confronted with the issues of caring for our planet.

As science and media are giving us new information about our environment, Christians everywhere are wondering what the Bible and their faith has to say about these issues. We are becoming highly aware and conscious of our footprint in the world. We live in a time when this topic is highlighted daily in our news; meanwhile ambiguity or apathy remains in many of our pulpits and pews. Often, we can feel overwhelmed by the thought of being responsible with our waste and the daunting task of caring for the earth. Garbage Theology seeks to help us grasp with our minds and hands the environmental issues of our day in an easy to read, faith-based way. Garbage Theology asks the question, “How might we as the people of God live into our calling to be holy in the midst of a culture of over-consumption and waste?”
